Qingling EV MAX Electric Light Truck: Multi-Door Design for Efficient Loading

2026-11-06

Qingling has introduced the EV MAX electric light truck, homologation model QL5040XXYBEVNSHA. This vehicle builds on the proven Isuzu 100P/KV light truck platform. The chassis remains largely unchanged, while the body and electric powertrain receive targeted upgrades for specific operational scenarios.

Multi-Door Cargo Body for Parallel Loading

The most distinctive feature is the cargo body. Three sets of double doors are fitted along the side, plus the rear door. This enables simultaneous loading and unloading at multiple points. Express distribution centers and supermarket restocking operations benefit directly. Multiple workers can handle cargo on both sides without queuing at the rear. This is the first Qingling electric light truck to feature multiple side doors. The design targets urban delivery efficiency.

Compact Dimensions and Urban Access

Vehicle length measures 5,995 millimeters, staying under the six-meter threshold. This supports favorable urban access regulations. Many cities now grant green privileges to new energy commercial vehicles. Electric light trucks enter urban areas more easily than diesel equivalents. Cargo box internal dimensions are 4,150×2,100×2,100 millimeters. Maximum volume reaches approximately 18.3 cubic meters. Wheelbase measures 3,360 millimeters. Gross vehicle weight is 4,495 kilograms. Curb weight is 3,500 kilograms with a rated payload of 800 kilograms. The cabin seats three. Tire specification is 7.00R16LT. Six suspension configurations are available.

Dual Motor Options for Flexible Performance

Two electric motor options are offered. The first is Qingling’s self-produced YY54TZ227QL1 permanent magnet synchronous motor. It delivers 140 kW rated and 185 kW peak power. This marks the first application of a Qingling self-produced motor in a light truck. The second option comes from Suzhou Green Control, model TZ230XS-LKM0442. It provides 100 kW rated and 200 kW peak power. The higher peak suits heavy-load starts and hill climbing. Both use CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries. Top speed reaches 110 km/h. ABS is standard, with ESC optional.

Conclusion

The Qingling EV MAX electric light truck addresses high-frequency urban delivery needs. Its multi-door design and flexible powertrain options support efficient loading operations. This vehicle represents a targeted solution for specific logistics challenges.
